Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between cast and blown stretch film?
Cast film is clearer, quieter and unwinds smoothly, which makes it a common default. Blown film is typically tougher, more puncture-resistant and clings better, so it's often used for loads with sharp edges. The right choice depends on your loads and equipment.
What is downgauging?
Downgauging means moving to a thinner, higher-performance film that holds loads as well as or better than the thicker film you're using now. Because you use less plastic per pallet, it often lowers cost per load. We test before recommending a change.
Is pre-stretched film worth it?
For hand-wrapping operations it often is. Pre-stretched film is easier on workers, uses less material per pallet and gives more consistent results. We'll compare your cost per pallet, not just per roll.
Do you supply film for stretch wrap machines?
Yes. We supply machine film for semi-automatic and automatic turntable and rotary-arm wrappers, and we can help dial in the film to your machine's pre-stretch settings.
