Frequently asked questions
What drives the price of a custom printed box?
Size, board grade, print method, number of colors, quantity and one-time tooling (printing plates and cutting dies). Quantity is usually the biggest lever, because tooling and setup costs are spread across the run. See our guide to custom box pricing for details.
Are there one-time setup costs?
Usually. Flexo printing needs plates and die-cut boxes need a cutting die. These are typically one-time costs that you don't pay again on reorders. Digital printing often has no plate cost, which makes it good for short runs.
How long do custom boxes take?
Custom runs typically take a few weeks depending on the print method and the plant's schedule. We'll give you a realistic date with your quote, and stock boxes can bridge the gap.
What's the minimum order?
It depends on the print method. Digital can go quite low, and flexo and litho need larger runs to make sense. Tell us your annual volume and we'll recommend the most economical approach.
